The American designer Ralph Lauren who built his multi-billion all-American fashion empire on his clothing label will be for his services to fashion and philanthropy soon awarded with a special prize.
The special prize, however, entails an elaborate ceremony and the award itself will be presented by a representative of none other than the head of the British monarchy, Queen Elizabeth II.

It has been announced that Ralph Lauren has been made Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of his exceptional achievements in fashion, business, and philanthropy over the last 50 years. . He is the first American fashion designer bestowed with the KBE, the highest honor bestowed to a foreigner, joining a very select group of Americans, including Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush and Dwight D. Eisenhower, as well as Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, and Michael Bloomberg, among others, to receive honorary knighthoods or damehoods. . The award presented to Ralph will be the title of Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Therefore, Ralph will become the first ever American fashion designer to be honoured to such an exceptional title introduced by her majesty Queen herself.
Ralph has been responsible for designing of one-of-a-kind pieces for the wardrobes of the British royals for numerous decades now, including creations customized for Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle.
On top of that, the Ralph Lauren Corporation has over the years established numerous charity organizations located in Britain focusing on research and battle against breast cancer. Notably, the Ralph Lauren Centre for Breast Cancer Research at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London has greatly contributed to further research.
