The day had finally come for the OG rapper Snoop Dogg to after many years of successful career receive his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in downtown Los Angeles. The ceremony was held a few weeks back and brought together several other A-list celebrities from the industry who came in to celebrate Snoop’s great achievements.
Snoop Dogg has been in the business for almost three decades now ever since he began his career back in 1992. Since then the rapper came a long way and became the legend of hip-hop and rap, the ultimate D O double G.
That is why on the day of his ‘Walk of Fame Star’ unveiling, some of his closest celebrity pals came in to support and honour Snoop, including talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, producers Dr. Dre and Quincy Jones and many others.
According to the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame located at the Hollywood Boulevard Ana Martinez, it was only a matter of time until Snoop has finally obtained his star.
“Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work.”
“He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Snoop wrapped up the ceremony with quite a ‘heartfelt’ speech thanking the most important person without whom he would not have been able to make it as far as he did. Plot twist, he thanked himself.
Well, it would not have been the confident Snoop as we know him without such individualistic speech. To see what we mean by that, hit the play button and watch the full ceremony for yourself.
