Alexander Wang is currently ahead of the majority of the prominent fashion designers in the industry. Why so? The House of Wang just debuted its latest ready-to-wear collection for Pre-Fall 2019, named Collection 2. Despite missing out on the New York Fashion Week in June after the introduction of Fall 2018 ready-to-wear capsule earlier this year, Alexander managed to hop back into the spotlight as if no time has passed.

Alexander’s latest creation is a dark an edgy fall collection that resembles both classical and timeless elegance as well as fresh and funky vibes of the early 90s. The number one material that inevitably inspired Alexander in creating of this collection is leather. The leather is a staple piece of all looks whether in an execution of skirts, pants, coats or dresses.

To spice things up, Alexander has combined the staple leather pieces with funky designs resembling fashion from the 90s such as fluffy sweaters or tweeted tops, blazers and coasts. For the accessories part, Alexander went with a more colourful scheme of bright vibrant tones and neons as well as with trendy animal prints such as snakeskin on shoes or boots. Similarly, velvet, lace or fishnet materials are present in the collection and undeniably bring back late 80s vibes.
