Yes, you read correctly. Kim Kardashian West’s engagement in legal initiatives of the U.S. state does not end with the effort to minimise prison sentences for first-time drug offenders. As a result of her successful political involvement in legal re-convalescence of former prisoners, Kim has decided to truly dive into the legal system herself and become a legitimate legal practitioner.
Kim has played with the idea of becoming a lawyer for a few years now, however, up until now she never spoke about her career change desire publicly. As the daughter of a successful and sadly already deceased attorney Robert Kardashian, Kim according to herself had always a strong inclination for practising law.
Notably, her interest in her late father’s work spurred her initial drive into to study of law. Nevertheless, in the end, her career as we all know shifted into a bit of a different direction. However, today while raising a family and grasping all the social media influence in the world, Kim has finally found the time to fulfil her calling and she is ready to take up the bar as early as 2020.

I’ve dreamed of this moment for so long, many said it would never come. Words cannot begin to express how much of an honor it is to have my first solo US cover of @VogueMagazine. I remember as a little girl flipping through my mom’s subscription each month and dreaming of one day gracing the cover of this iconic magazine. Thank you to the incredible Anna Wintour for your support as always, it means the world to me. @Tonnegood, @Mikaeljansson and the glam team were an absolute dream to work with. I’m so incredibly grateful to writer @Jonathanvanmeter for illustrating a glimpse into my life in a way that I don’t think has ever been done – from juggling family, my businesses and pursuing a law degree with such care and seriousness. Special thank you to my husband Kanye for speaking into existence that one day I would grace the cover of Vogue when everyone told me to be “more realistic.” #dreamsdocometrue #speakitintoexistence #voguemagazine Photographer: Mikael Jansson @mikaeljansson Stylist: Tonne Goodman @tonnegood Makeup: Hannah Murray @hannah_murray1 Hair headpieces: Shay Ashual @shayashual Cover Look: Chanel top @chanelofficial; Irene Neuwirth necklace @ireneneuwirth. In her recent interview and cover shoot for the Vogue magazine, Kim revealed that she has begun an apprenticeship with a California-based law firm last summer. California is one of many US states that offers the possibility to take the bar exam without having to attend law school. Hence, Kim will be enabled to take the examination after successfully completing her 4 years long apprenticeship.
The news comes as quite a striking surprise to many, however, Kim explains that the reason behind her push to become a certified attorney lays in her ambition to gain complete education in order to be fully skilled before her pursuit of criminal justice reform.
It seems that Kim is truly dedicated to her future law career and we can only assert that it is never too late to chase your dreams or goals. Kim is, therefore, a perfect embodiment of an independent woman pursuing her life aspirations and we could not cheer for her more.
