Cannes 2018: Everything You Need To Know About The Nominees For The Main Prize

The moment we all have been waiting for is here. The movies, the celebrities, the red carpet,… yes it’s Cannes time!

The 71st annual Cannes Film Festival is currently being held from 8th to 19th of May and it was opened with drama movie “Everybody Knows” directed by Asghar Farhadi, starring husband and wife Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

This year’s president of the jury was named the Australian actress Cate Blanchett and among others, some of her fellow jurors are world famous and talented actresses such as Kristen Stewart, Lea Seydoux, and director Ava Duvernay. Women power!

One of the most anticipated movies is BlacKkKlansman by Spike Lee. A drama about a black detective (John David Washington) who infiltrates the Ku Klux Klan.

It wouldn’t be Cannes without a surprise. This year is the return of none other than the famous film director Jean-Luc Godard, who will introduce his experimental movie The Image Book.
