Just as summer approaches, the Gucci’s mastermind Alessandro Michele decided to design a special limited edition collection of streetwear staple pieces available for sale as souvenirs in the gift shop of Gucci Garden museum in Florence.
Alessandro often finds his inspiration in a day-to-day street style of people and street artwork. Similarly, for this new project of his, he involved faces of regular people who he met during his people-watching venture in the streets of Florence.
Inside the bazaar-like store of the #GucciGarden, a lineup of exclusive pieces featuring artworks by @isabellacotier. The London-based artist’s illustrations for #Gucci are drawings of eccentric characters of Florence that she made observing the streets of the city and local places including the Sant’Ambrogio Market. Featured on T-shirts and totes, eccentric pensioners and a retired ballerina who Isabella met sitting in a café in Santo Spirito, a famed Florentine neighbourhood.
The artwork that made the Gucci Garden bazaar collection was designed together by Alessandro and London-based illustrator Isabella Cotier who he randomly ran into during his lookout for inspiration.
This joint project of Gucci’s illustrated collection is now exclusively available in the beautiful premises of Gucci Gardens that is a must-visit place when vacationing in Florence!
