Beyoncé and Balmain Finally Hit It Off in Collaboration On a Capsule Collection

Ever since Balmain designed Beyoncé’s Coachella stage outfits, fans have been questioning whether there could possibly be a collaboration in a making in near future. The questions (more like prayers) have been finally answered and Beyoncé is in collaboration with Olivier Rousteing, the creative director for Balmain launching a capsule collection on this upcoming Friday.

The inspiration for the capsule collection struck the two when practicing Balmain outfits during pre-Coachella rehearsals. Olivier similarly designed outfits for Bey’s dancers which were inspired by African American college and university merch. Everyone loved the uniforms so much that the pair decided to collaborate on a proper flagship merch and that is pretty much how the Beyoncé x Balmain collection was born.

The collection will consist of hoodies alike the ones Beyoncé wore on stage during her Coachella performance and graphic tees sporting the same graphic. All the proceeds from sales will be donated to the United Negro College Fund in order to support young aspiring students.

The collection will be from Friday the 13th available in Balmain’s Paris flagship store and from July 14th onwards on Balmain’s as well as Beyoncé’s official websites.
